EcoPro BM Hungary carries out a periodic fire-safety review at its Debrecen site
On several days in February 2026, a review of the fire shutdown and heat- and smoke-extraction systems takes place at EcoPro’s Debrecen plant — the fire alarm’s sound signals do not indicate an emergency.
EcoPro BM Hungary informs the public that on12, 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22 February 2026, a periodic fire-safety review and maintenance will be carried out on the plant’s premises. During the tests, the fire-alarm system may emit sound signals from time to time — these may also be audible to the public, butdo not indicate an actual emergency.
What happens and when
The works comprise the annual review and maintenance — prescribed by Decree 54/2014 (XII.5.) BM on the National Fire Protection Regulations — of thefire shutdown and heat- and smoke-extraction systems. The regular periodic checks serve to maintain operational safety and the highest level of fire-safety compliance, and take place on a scheduled basis within the specified days.
What local residents may experience
On the designated days, the fire-alarm system may emit sound signals from time to time during the tests, which may also be audible in the surrounding area. EcoPro BM Hungary asks for the patience and understanding of local residents regarding any possible noise effects.
