EVE Power strengthens its presence in Hungary through R&D and open public dialogue

EVE Power Hungary has joined the Hungarian Battery Association (HUBA) — a joint announcement by Dr. Ádám Kovács and Dr. Péter Kaderják.

Debrecen, 12 May 2026 — EVE Power Hungary Kft.has officially joined theHungarian Battery Association (HUBA). With this, the company has confirmed its earlier promise to dedicate the year 2026 to strategic partnerships, naming research and development, regulatory dialogue and the deepening of social education as goals.

Recruitment in Debrecen is in full swing

EVE Power Hungary’s Debrecen recruitment, launched in January, is currently in full swing. The company aims to expand its team with400 new employeesby the end of 2026, thereby laying the foundation for the safe start-up of future production processes. They are primarily looking for technicians, engineers and administrative specialists for their plant being built on 45 hectares, which will operate as a supplier to the BMW Group. With the recruitment the company aims to prepare production and establish stable plant processes, relying heavily on the local and regional workforce. The company is committed to the local workforce, well illustrated by the fact that currently93 percent of employees are Hungarian citizens.

Three strategic pillars

HUBA membership is built on three strategic pillars:

  1. Innovation and R&D:The company already cooperates with domestic research institutes, and professional discussions are under way with the University of Debrecen about a long-term research and development programme.
  2. Professional regulation:EVE Power takes an active role in the battery-industry regulatory dialogue, to help sustainable and competitive domestic operation with its international experience.
  3. Social dialogue and education:The company is committed to transparent communication; their goal is to present the safety and environmental values of modern technology. In connection with this, they also plan organised visits and educational demonstrations during the construction phase.

The Hungarian Battery Association (HUBA) is one of the main engines of implementing the National Battery Industry Strategy 2030. Through EVE Power’s joining, the Hungarian battery-industry value chain is strengthened by a globally experienced, innovation-oriented player.
