The 400-billion investment reaches a milestone

At its plant, being built on 45 hectares and spanning450,000 m²of its plant, the company will manufacture battery cells for the BMW Group. The build-out of production capacity is progressing as planned; in the coming period several areas supporting the processes needed for production start-up and stable operation will be expanded.

Under the campaign starting at the end of January, the company is primarily looking for technicians, engineers and administrative and support staff, relying on the region’s domestic workforce. It welcomes applications for the positions on its own career page, LinkedIn and job portals.

“Our investment in Hungary has reached an important phase; in the coming period we will focus on building and strengthening the processes related to production. Our goal is to establish stable, predictable operation in Debrecen, and to bring in professionals who live in the region and want to work at a technologically leading company with an international background.”

Zhang Huanting — Managing Director of Eve Power Hungary Kft.

Local employment, long-term partnership

The battery industry has undergone significant development in recent years in the eastern-Hungarian region. It is especially important for the company to recruit the workforce needed for its growing capacities mainly from the city and the region’s settlements — strengthening local employment is a long-term goal of EVE Energy’s Hungarian subsidiary.

“For us, 2026 is about partnership: we are building long-term collaborations in Debrecen and the region that create economic value, a secure career path for young people and tangible benefits for local communities all at once.”
