Half a century on one stage — Gábor Presser, András Lovasi and Tibi Kiss at the EFOTT anniversary show

On one stage Gábor Presser and Valmar, György Korda, Klári Balázs and T. Danny: we celebrate EFOTT’s 50th birthday with a flagship production unlike anything before.

Budapest, 4 May 2026 — On one stage,Presser Gáborand Valmar, György Korda, Klári Balázs and T. Danny: this summer EFOTT makes history. One of the country’s most iconic festivals celebratesits 50th birthday, with a flagship production unlike anything seen before.

Anniversary opening in Sukoró

Sukoró hosts the event from 8 to 12 July, and the big anniversary moment arrives on the very first day. On 8 July the festival opens with a3.5-hour continuous stage show, promising a one-off, unrepeatable experience.

The evening is built on four spectacular musical eras that lead the audience through the moods of the past five decades. The “age of legends” evokes the defining figures of Hungarian pop music, the “age of music TV” brings back iconic moments of the ’90s and 2000s, the “age of festivals” celebrates the explosion of communal experiences, while the “present day” block puts today’s most popular performers and trends in the spotlight.

A flagship production with a star parade

The line-up of the anniversary show is itself a guarantee of a special evening: among those taking the stage arePresser Gábor, Lovasi András, Kiss Tibi, Valmar, Márk Járai, T. Danny, KKevin, Groovehouse, and the legendary duo,Korda György és Balázs Klári, as well as Zoltán Bereczki and many others. Folk music has been provided for 40 years now — on the EFOTT stage too — by the Csík Band. A real musical journey through time can be expected during the evening.

One evening — half a century

This evening is not just a concert but a celebration full of emotion, nostalgia and surprises, speaking of the past, the present and the future all at once. EFOTT’s 50th-birthday show will not be repeated — those who are there can experience a piece of festival history.
